Small groups are central to the life of Christ Church, and are how the gospel of Jesus Christ is lived out in our lives.
They are a way to make a bigger church feel small, and offer a place to care for one another, to connect and challenge each other through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have a variety of small groups for you to join. Men’s, women’s and college age Bible studies meet weekly and focus on studying the Word. C-Groups are for everyone and usually meet twice a month at various times and locations for group members to connect socially, sometimes share a snack or a meal, and spend time discussing that week’s sermon, or a chapter from a book they are reading or a book of the Bible they are studying together. There is always a time of prayer, where individuals are encouraged to share concerns, praises and the stuff of life with one another.
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.… They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts” (Acts 2:42-46). We need others to help us apply the all-encompassing and ultimately satisfying truth of the gospel of King Jesus. As we remind each other about God’s grace and all of its implications, we help each other experience the genuine growth that God desires to bring about in our lives.
